PICS was established to assist companies with a thorough audit program for all
contractors working at their facilities. PICS sets the highest standards possible in regard to contractor
qualifications as they relate to federally or state-mandated regulations and/or specific operator requirements.

Suncor Energy hosts Managing Contractor Safety Meeting
Suncor Energy hosted an MCS meeting in Denver, Colorado at the Commerce City Refinery. Several operators, including Frontier Oil and New Belgium Brewery attended the meeting to receive training and provide feedback. Official Safety Solutions sponsored the event, and over 70 contractors participated in the forum.

Dennis Truitt was invited by the Region IX VPPPA to lead a discussion about the contractor management element requirement of achieving VPP status. VPP (Voluntary Protection Program) is a certification given to businesses that volunteer to create superior, collaborative programs through federal and state agencies such as OSHA, DOE and EPA.
